🚨 SCAM ALERT: Is your card in your wallet? It could still be stolen
Scammers are using a new tactic to "clone" your bank card onto their own phones via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Here’s what KAF Digital Bank users need to know:
How it happens:
i) The Call: A scammer calls posing as KAF Security, claiming your account is under attack.
ii) The Code: They ask you to read back a "security code" or tap a notification to "block" a fake payment.
iii) The Theft: That code actually authorises their phone to use your card. They can then spend your balance instantly.
🛡️ Protect Your Account:
i) Never share OTPs: KAF Digital Bank will never ask for your One-Time Password over the phone.
ii) Read the SMS: If you get a code to "Add Card to Wallet" that you didn't request, it’s a scam.
iii) Hang up: If a call feels suspicious, hang up and call the number on the back of your card.
Stay vigilant! If you suspect fraud, immediately freeze your card in the KAF app🛡️
